Using The App
Business Card Builder is a free local-first tool for creating digital business card previews, QR codes, and export files. The person using it is responsible for the information entered, encoded, shared, downloaded, or printed.
Local-First Data
Business Card Builder stores no card records on a server. Card data exists in the edit strings, publish links, QR codes, and files that are copied or exported. An edit string is a full copy of the card: anyone holding one can open it, read every field, and make links or exports from it. It cannot alter a link already handed out, because there is no shared card record to alter. Keep an edit string private because it reveals the card.
Acceptable Use
Business Card Builder is for making cards from details the user is allowed to publish. Do not use it to impersonate a person or organisation, encode deceptive or malicious links, publish someone else’s personal details without agreement, or break the law. The app keeps no card record, so a shared card cannot be reviewed, recalled, or taken down from here.
Exports
Card images, code sheets, QR images, SVGs, and VCF files are generated in the browser from the information entered. Review exported contact details before sharing them. Exported card images and code sheets include a small line crediting the app.
Content And Ownership
Card content belongs to the user who entered it. Business Card Builder claims no ownership of it and receives no copy of it. The app name, interface, designs, and code remain separate from the card content. Using the app grants permission to make and share cards, and nothing more.
No Warranty
The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. Business Card Builder does not guarantee that every QR scanner, browser, contact app, printer, device, export, link, or generated code will work perfectly or remain compatible over time.
No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Business Card Builder is not liable for lost data, incorrect contact information, failed scans, missed opportunities, printing issues, device incompatibility, link sharing, misuse of exported files, or damages related to use of the app.
Changes To These Terms
These terms may change as the app changes. The date at the top of this page marks the most recent revision, and continuing to use the app after a revision means accepting it. There are no accounts to notify, so this page is the record of changes.
